Experience the adventure of a lifetime by interacting with Wild Whale Sharks in Donsol Bay, Sorsogon in a controlled eco-tourism initiative led by the WWF. Snorkel amongst these inquisitive but gentle animals in a small boat limited to six (6) passengers, a captain, a spotter, and a BIO (Butanding Interaction Officer) who monitors your behaviors while enforcing the conservation rules of these pristine mammals. To protect these marine mammals in their natural habitat, a set of rules must be adhered to.

The rules and limitations were:

Don’t touch the Whale Shark
Don’t restrict the movement of the Whale Shark or impede its natural path
The recommended distance from the whale shark is 3 meters from the tail
No flash photography.
No scuba scooters, jet skis, or any motorized underwater propulsion
A maximum of 6 snorkelers per Whale Shark
Only one boat per Whale Shark

While you could spot a Whale Shark from a boat, you have a much better chance while you are snorkeling, because of this, we have included the price of snorkeling in this all-inclusive experience which includes towels, filtered water, fruit snacks, showers, and a 3-course lunch at a nearby seaside resort. For those that choose not to snorkel, you will be compensated.

Your adventure starts in Legazpi City or Daraga when we pick you up wherever you are staying, greeted by our trained staff who will scan your reservation QR code. From there, you will board our Large Air-Conditioned Shuttle Van of our Transportation provider and ride for approximately 1.5h to Donsol Bay. During your trip to Donsol, you will be requested to select your 3-course meal plus a beverage, so your order to be ready when you arrive at the resort. Once you arrive in Donsol, you will be greeted by our Tour Organizer, who will lead you through the Visitor Whale Interaction Center.

We will provide a filtered water jug on the boat along with some fruit snacks. Please bring a refillable water bottle and avoid single-use plastic water bottles. The boat tour is about 3 hours in duration.

Upon returning from the boat tour you will be whisked to a nearby Seaside Resort where you can shower, use the restrooms, and soak in the beauty of Donsol Bay. There you will enjoy your 3-course meal and a beverage with a beautiful view! If everything goes as scheduled, you should be back in the Legazpi City area by 2:00p and at your stay by about 2:30p at the latest!
